Did anyone else wanted Lucius Malfoy to die?

I was really hoping Voldemort would kill Lucius so his son, Draco, would be provoked to turn against Voldemort and actually fight in the final battle. I was really disappointed what Rowling did with the Malfoys in the end :(. Your thoughts?
